The acronym NATO generates in our minds different connections, but all of these recall the idea of an alliance between Nations. But how many people know exactly what it really is, how it works, and which its aim is?
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is an international organization that cooperates for the defence, and that defines common standards that Nations have to respect, and whose objective is to arrange military peacekeeping missions. From Obama’s administration on, however, in addition to the focus on the war’s victory with the aim of peace, the NATO became to pay attention to the impact that its missions could generate in terms of costs, enviromental sustainability, and energy efficiency. It’s really due to this emerging worry that Rold could take part in Nato Smart Energy, a project thanks to which, inside of an hungarian military camp, from the 8th to the 19th of June, it was arranged a space completely dedicated to a group of selected companies, that had the possibility to introduce themeselves and its technologies to the military world. This initiative had really a great success, enabling Rold to obtain important contacts, that the company will have to manage and cultivate in order to validate itsels as a supplier. Another relevant consequence of its participation to the project Nato Smart Energy is, without any doubt, the partnership that Rold has concluded with G&G Partner, and that consists in a supply contract of lamps inside the tents by them producted.
It’s very important to point out that Nato hasn’t defined, regarding the energy efficiency field, shared standards yet. In fact, since these topics have been exploring for a short time and since they are always more important, standards in this sector are still to be determined, but it’s certainly preponderant the will to speed up in order to reach a turning point. In regard to this, thanks to the project Nato Smart Energy which it has subscribed to, Rold will be able to sit down around the table where it will be written the rules about energy and costs containment, having in this way the extraordinary occasion to affect decisions of great impact and importance.
In particular, on the 18th february in Bruxelles there will be a workgroup, where it will be define in detail concrete action plans and be formulated precise requests to NATO. In this event of great renown there will be the participation of eminent personalities. In fact, all the Ministers of the Nato’s Nations and Sorin du Karu, Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges, will be present.
Rold will take part, therefore, in a workgroup where is coming to pay a key role, managing directly thorny and worldwide impacting themes.
It could be concluded with a famous Gandhi’s citation: “Be the change that you would like to see in the world”. Yes, that’s right, because the company has the extraordinary opportunity to lay the foundations for dynamics that could both define new standards in this field, and incentivize successful strategies for its business.
